Last Updated: 06/19/2012
DMX is the most wide spread and popular lighting protocol in the world and is the near de facto protocol used in the DIY lighting world today. The Understanding DMX class provides background on how DMX operates, how its addressing system functions, how DMX compares with other protocols used in the holiday lighting arena, how to troubleshoot DMX, how effects are generated in DMX and the overall pros and cons of DMX.
