  • This package includes:
    • White 10mm Coro Star with pre-cut holes for 270 RGB nodes
      • Counts per Ring:
        • Ring 6 (outer most ring): 70 Nodes
        • Ring 5: 60 Nodes
        • Ring 4: 50 Nodes
        • Ring 3: 40 Nodes
        • Ring 2: 30 Nodes
        • Ring 1 (inner most ring): 20 Nodes
  • Node layout orders
    • Smart Pixel Nodes
      • 270 of 12v smart pixel nodes
      • Wiring order:
        • See diagram on this page for layout order and where to connect each of the three power/data cables to the star
        • Nodes are installed on back side with gold instructional writing
        • Nodes are installed going counter/anti-clock wise (clock-wise when viewed from the front)
        • Controller output #1: Ring 1 (20 nodes - inner most ring) + 2 (30 nodes) + 3 (40 nodes) = 90 nodes
          • Universe 20 (recommended for use with our sequences)
          • DMX Channels 1 to 270
        • Controller output #2: Ring 4 (50 nodes) + Ring 5 (60 nodes) = 110 nodes
          • Universe 21
          • DMX Channels 1 to 330
        • Controller output #3: Ring 6 (70 nodes) = 70 nodes
          • Universe 22
          • DMX channels 1 to 210
      • Installation instructions:
        • There will be two connection, each with three wires, that need to be soldered to complete the project below. This kit includes solder shrink tube which has solder and shrink tube all in one part and can be installed using a lighter or small torch (see the video on this page) but we have also included regular shrink tube if you wish to solder the connections using a traditional soldering iron.
        • Start installing pixels with the inside ring 1 as indicated in the star diagram below - there is a circle around the holes that are the staring locations for each new string of nodes. The start of the light string is the end with the white information tag.
        • Go around ring 1 and then switch over to ring 2.
        • After completing ring 2, screw together one more string of lights to the end of the lights from ring 2 and continue installing lights in ring 3.
        • After all lights are installed in ring 3 you will have 10 remaining nodes. Cut off the 10 nodes - we will be adding these to ring 5 later, so be sure to cut the wire in the middle between the nodes.
        • Start with a new string of lights, again with the end with the white tag at ring 4 and continue around until all the pixels are installed in ring 4.
        • As ring 4 is exactly 50 pixels, add on an additional string to the end of the pixels in ring 4 and continue adding pixels into ring 5 until you run out.
        • Ring 5 has a total of 60 pixels so take the 10 remaining nodes cut off from ring 3 and solder them to the end of of the pixels from ring 5 (note that you will need to cut off the female plug in order to solder on the 10 pixels). This completes ring 4 and 5.
        • Start installing nodes again with the male end with the white tag on row 7. Install all 50 nodes and then add on the last string by plugging it into the end of the 50 count nodes already installed in row 7. Install 20 additional nodes and cut off the remaining 30 nodes and save them as spares.
    • Three, 20ft long cables to allow the controller to be mounted at the base of the tree
  • Customer required items:
    • Soldering iron and solder
    • 3/4" EMT pipe or equivalent for mounting star
    • Misc hand tools
    • Pixel nodes not installed, minimal soldering required

First purchase from HC and first experience with programmable lights.  I was up in running in one night.  The package is complete and training resources were extremely helpful.  The shipping was quick and packaging was good.  I’ll be a frequent customer.

5 of 5 270 Node Star September 23, 2019
Reviewer: Ken Iverson from Seattle, WA United States
I had been using a heavy 5 level star with plain white lights for the star on my tree.  As I was making another purchase I came across the 6 level star kit and after encouragement from my wife, decided to make the purchase.  The star assembled very easily and the instructions were awesome.  I have it set up in my control room for testing and what I've run has been very impressive.

Packaging this as a kit was a great idea and insures that everything is included.

5 of 5 Amazing! November 16, 2018
Reviewer: Frank Cano from Greenville, PA United States
Once again great piece of ingenuity and beauty from Holidaycoro. Very easy to assemble. Please pay attention carefully to the layout so you don't make dumb mistakes as I did. The controller is also easy to set up. You need to have some degree of understanding about networks but it is very easy to learn. Support in the strongest suit of Holidaycoro. I did not have any problems with it but my experience with other products makes HC stand out in comparison to the competition.
