Works ok January 31, 2021 Reviewer: JOHN CREED from ALBERTVILLE, MN United States   Not waterproof when cap is off and CAT5 is plugged in... I live in a harsh winter environment with blizzard 70 mph wind gusts and lots of snow so I replaced these with some IP-64 rated waterproof CAT5 connectors. ---- HOLIDAYCORO RESPONSE ---- We could offer these but determined because this "boot" requires custom CAT5 cables to perform this and the number of people that could produce custom cables was very low, this was the best solution.  This connector is full IP65 rated (water will not enter the jack) and the pins are gold plated to prevent corrosion if exposed to water.  When mounted correctly (facing down) we have had a zero failure rate without a boot on the CAT5 cable. Cat 5 bulk head connectors April 30, 2020 Reviewer: Gary Morrison from Pekin, IL United States   I wanted to stop feeding network cables into the boxes. So I researched best ways to do this. I found that bulk head connectors were the best option. HolidayCoro has the best price for them. Easier to use March 4, 2019 Reviewer: Ron Boyd from Knoxville, TN United States   There are 3 different CAT5 connectors I've used in recent years. One is very similar to these, but not with the CAT5e extension on the inside. These however, were easy to install the nut inside the box. The others, I needed a pair of pliers to install the mounting nut. Such a pain. HolidayCoro extensions are easy on the fingers and offers  a longer extension inside to reach the top of the enclosure if needed. Much better design. Was this review helpful to you?
