5 of 5 Mine works perfect December 19, 2020
Reviewer: John Fitzgerald from Portsmouth, RI.
I have signal about 75 feet away. Went through a couple of different stations and found one that works perfect. Everyone that has looked at my display says it works great!

1 of 5 Fm Transmitte December 15, 2020

I also purchased the transmitter from HolidayCoro...I have to agree it has a very WEAK signal. My tree is 75 feet from the road and signal is lost at 40 feet with the 20 foot extension wire.

1 of 5 Please QC your FM Boards, and seek a new source December 5, 2020
Reviewer: Chad G. from San Antonio, Texas
Like many other reviews here, I've had zero luck getting any range from the transmitter.  I'm using a low frequency that I've checked against local stations, soldered a 20' length of 18GA wire to the board, and mounted it vertically, and still can't pickup radio 50 feet away.  Sound is coming through the board via the speaker, so I know that it is getting input.   I'll look for an alternative version via amazon.   Disappointing given all of the other wonderful stuff that I've gotten from HC.

1 of 5 Range is horrible December 3, 2020
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Antioch, IL United States
I tried many configurations and many antenna layouts, but ultimately found an fm transmitter on amazon for $100 that works 1000x better and out of the box with a 3.5mm cord.   waste of money

1 of 5 Not worth it. November 29, 2020
Reviewer: Eric Bumpus from CUMMING, GA United States
I have pretty much outfitted my entire house display with items from holidaycoro and they all work great except this FM transmitter. You only get a few feet of range without an antenna, with an antenna I can get maybe 20 feet. For Antenna's I tried using the recommended wire method and building a dipole tuned to my broadcast frequency, neither really helped. To add insult to injury the board broadcasts a loud drumming sound via RF interference from the HinksPixPro through the ribbon cable at the 20fps the lights blink to. I spent 3 days and multiple trips to the home center to try and make this thing work, I have ended in frustration and moved on to another FM transmitter.

1 of 5 Holiday Coro FM Transmitter November 23, 2020
Reviewer: Daniel Sharer from San Diego, CA
Holiday Coro seems like a good company. I have ordered from them often. However, their FM transmitter is horrible. They should not be selling this product to anybody. The FM signal the board transmits is very weak. You have to be within 10 feet of the board to get a scratchy signal if any signal. Do not buy this board.

1 of 5 Signal Quality only good to 4 feet November 15, 2020
Reviewer: Greg from Salt Lake City
After searching and trying several different FM frequencies, the best performance I was able to achieve was to get an FM radio to pick up a clear signal from within four (4) feet of the transmitter. With the controller and FM board on the front porch, the sound quality in the driveway or front sidewalk (15 feet away with clear line of sight) was terrible. Static and pops distorted the audio into something you couldn't stand to listen to. Adding an antenna only increased range about 20% I live in between two metropolitan areas and there is a lot of interference with almost every channel on the radio, so maybe performance would have been better in a rural area. One nice thing about this product the promotional materials didn't mention is that you can adjust the volume of the built in speaker and change the frequency of the board directly from the HinksPix Pro controller board but changing the frequency does force the whole controller to reboot, so trying different channels takes forever.

2 of 5 Not compatible with Mac Users December 4, 2019
Reviewer: Nathan F. from Central Illinois
So the FM transmitter will only work if the Hinkspix Pro board is in Standalone Mode. The only way to use the Hinkspix Pro in standalone mode is by using the HSA “Hinks Standalone Application” software developed by Joe Hinkle who also developed the board. As of this date 12-3–19 the HSA is not compatible with Mac OS. So I ended up going on Amazon to order another $100 FM Transmitter that plugs into your headphone jack of your Mac. It works great. I look forward to using the HSA software when Joe Hinkle gets the Mac version of the HSA up and operational. Go to joehinkle.com for updates on a Mac version.
