5 of 5 Came as promised, works as promised January 2, 2024

The receiver was easy to set up and the instructional video was VERY helpful on set up with a Hinkspix controller.  I had a hard time getting xLights to control it, but that was my fault.

5 of 5 Good quality and very well put together December 12, 2022

I ordered this unit to control my 115 volt lights, I have it set up and working. I had a problem with a network cable but that was because I was not paying attention and messed up the wiring order when I built it, no problems, it was an easy fix as I had left extra cable curled up inside the box.

The enclosure is heavy duty and sealed from the weather, the pigtails are clearly marked, the cables are secured and everything is built for the long haul.

I am pleased with the design, construction and operation.

5 of 5 Easy Peasy December 7, 2021
Reviewer: John English from Reno, NV United States
If you already have a Hinkspix controller, these are truly plug and play. These AC boxes will quickly expand your light show. They have 2X Line Out ports so you can split your network. LOR boxes won't do this. I sold my old LOR boxes on Ebay and bought a few more of these AC16!
I run lights on 5 houses in our neighborhood. The neighbors just plug their LED or incandescent lights into these AC boxes and away we go.
One special procedure to be careful about- You have to reset the Hinkspix CPU AFTER the long range boxes are connected. Otherwise, the box will not receive the proper configuration info from the Hinkspix. Caused me a bit of grief doing it in the incorrect order.  I was able to get a hold of Hoe Hinkle and he explained it to me.
Just wish the price was lower. The main HinksPix Pro board costs about half the price and has a lot more going on.  Maybe HC could sell this as an unassembled kit and take the labor cost off the price?
