Everything came prewired ready to run. Set up is clean/ very organized with sufficient cable length for all connections. Waterproof case is good quality. Only complaint is the RJ45/DMX connection. 3 pin DMX connections are completely unusable. Not a huge issue, I don't currently use them and that fact is clearly stated in the description. However RJ45 connections are an issue. Due to location/orientation in the case, it's VERY difficult to plug CAT5 into them. Second it's next to impossible to DISCONNECT the cable once plugged in. Not a big deal if you leave CAT5 plugged into the controllers for storage, I do not! My runs from controller to controller are long. More importantly if you have a bad/damaged cable it MUST be removed/replaced. Which is a VERY DIFFICULT proposition! I had to remove the mounting board from the case to disconnect the short CAT5 used for testing. I must buy an adapter to use this controller. Due to these issues I would have to rate this overall at 3.5 stars --- HOLIDAYCORO RESPONSE --- We could not agree more that the plugs for the CAT5 RS485 input are hard to reach, we have updated the 27 channel controller to a completely new designed 30 channel controller which has a vertically located jack that resolves this problem completely. We have updated this product from 27 to 30 channel controller for any future purchases.
