I originally was planning on building my own pixel icicles but after consulting with Holiday Coro I decided to try the Holiday Coro Pixel Icicles. I'm pretty happy I did, they turned out beautiful.
A few tips: 1/2" PVC and the Holiday Coro Clear Lexan Clip work pretty well (so far) If you plan on getting 57" between the first and last string you will be disappointed. I had given myself 1/2" but that didn't turn out enough. If you plan on 56" you will be happier. Test the heck out of the pixels before you mount them. This means running them through all the colors and looking at each node. I was in a hurry this year and I was still new to pixels and so didn't discover all the glitches until I had some of them mounted. Order a spare string. Thankfully I did, so when I discovered the glitchy string I could swap them without waiting for the replacement (which came fast but still can't beat having a spare on hand).
