Bought floods summer of 2022. We can daisychain 12 of them without issue. We have power inject & data boost about every 5th, and they are perfect; 25 feet apart. Bought supplementary rbg floods about Fall of 2022 -- and they go bonkers at the third chained light; same setup as the 12, functional, daisychained rgb floods. Apparently the chipset changed, based on an rgb flood review where a poster mentioned it & HolidayCoro's response -- that yes, the manufacturer changed, and chipsets vary between factories. Further, this new batch of 6, in 2023 now, not only can you Only chain 2 rgb floods together at a time, one of my floods started smoking & the LED burned out. Same setup we've been using without issue with the original 12 for about a year. Price went up, quality is so poor the floods puff up in smoke on the bench. I can't have fresh data & power runs every 25'/two lights. I cannot recommend this product anymore - since Fall 2022, it is now a 1 star product. --- HOLIDAYCORO RESPONSE --- I'm sorry with the experience with our product. I see that we offered a replacement flood light at no cost but no action was taken on this offer. The problem with the chips affected most vendors in 2021/2021 due to the chip shortage, thus we are unable to support mixing flood from different lot numbers on the same output, though the floods work when connected from the same lot number on the same output. There is not a limit of 2 flood lights - flood lights are limited by data distance (25 ft between floods) AND no more than 6 (sometimes 5 depending on the specifics of your controller). While we can't be sure of what happened with the smoking LED, I am aware that this installation was a DIY controller, so we would need to obtain the flood back to determine the root cause.
