We have purchased about 100 5m rolls and none of them have ever turned out to be defective in any way.
The built in chip have worked fine even on none holiday coro equipment.

I used these to make 2 arches out of pex. I run my show for 4 hours a night and for the past 2 weeks everything looks great. As a side note I run them off the alphapix I got from HC. Three years ago and that and my AC controller are still going strong. I also have a mega tree which I kept outside and setup because its a pain to take down. Two years out in the elements and every pixel still works

Set up on mega tree went very easy. This is the second set of lights on this mega tree. After 5 years, which is awesome complete set was in the need.

I experienced some issues when creating a string of a 5m strip connected to a 2m strip of the same type. HolidayCoro's reply:

I'm sorry but we do not support mixing product numbers or lot numbers of pixels. While in theory this normally works, sometimes timing differences between chips will result in issues. Placing one SKU type per output will absolutely work fine.

I ordered 3 of these strips to make leaping arches, I used 1" translucent pex pipe, I used a fish wire on the not connected end, fished the pixel strip thru the pex and secured the pixel strip at the end.

The strip come with a long lead and connector on them, I believe it is about 8-10 feet or so, the pixels are bright and have been working great.
