4 of 5 Fourth one December 3, 2016
Reviewer: DLB from Wheaton, IL United States
Excellent help and fast delivery.

This is the fourth controller I've purchased from Holicay Coro, but the first I'm reviewing.

Only two issues:

DHCP gets turned if it can't initially connect to the network. This requires me to go out to reset this whenever power is recycled. Won't be a problem if you use a static IP but is a problem if you reserve the IP. Many networks no longer work with static IPs.

Secondly, I'd like more flexibility of nulling out  pixels other than at the ends.

Great value and great company.

Works great with my WS2811 pixels ( http://shop.ledco.sk/dmx-spi-digitalny-rgb-led-pixel-ip68-ws2811-12v) and software like Jinx, Glediator etc.

5 of 5 Love This Controller! July 19, 2016
Reviewer: James Vance from Lowell, AR United States
Before buying this controller, I used an Arduino.  I also spent hours coding just trying to get a single LED strip working.  This controller changed everything!  I simply hooked it in to the power supply, connected a strand of HolidayCoro Brilliant Bulbs, and I was ready to go!  Being able to adjust the IP address on the controller allowed me to run my show exactly how I wanted.  I am currently using Vixen for sequencing and running it all from Falcon Player on a Raspberry Pi 3.  By changing the IP on the controller, I was able to create a different subnet from my home network that's used just for running the show.  The web interface makes it super easy to configure the controller and its outputs.  Great product that I will definitely buy again as I increase the size of my show.

Awesome controller with enough outputs for most smaller projects. Easy to use and configure so you are one step closer to having a working show!

5 of 5 AlphaPix 4 is my favorite March 26, 2016
Reviewer: Ed Kaempf from Granite Bay, CA United States
First of all, the controller worked out-of-the-box, including assigning my unique IP address.  No futzing whatsoever with any thing to get this controller up and running.

The controller's on-board LED display makes it a lot easier to test than the SanDevices E6804 that I also have.  With just a push of the "+" button on the board, I can easily cycle quickly through each of 24 tests.

Also, I use only unicast, and that's all this controller uses (i.e., it does not support multicast).  I can also easily set the intensity of pixels attached to each output port, using the controller's web interface.  I set mine at 85% because humans can't distinguish the difference between that brightness and 100%, but the 200th pixel on my 200-pixels mini trees are as bright as the first pixel at full white, without any power injection.  And the 200-pixel tree operates on just one port, with ease, and with sufficient power through the output port to the 200th pixel.

5 of 5 Amazing pixel contriller February 15, 2016
Reviewer: Kurt A. Kroh from Las Vegas, NV United States
I just used eight Alpha Pix 4 controllers on a project in Kuwait. These worked out very very well. We only had a few days to install the pixels and a lot of theatrical fixtures as well. The DMX out on the AP4 was great. It allowed me to use very short DMX runs because we could pull DMX from anywhere in system. The test mode was very useful because I taught the install crew how to engage it and they were able to test as they installed. I really love the web configuration page it made things very very fast to set up and to make changes as things evolved. I didn't use the fan feature on this project but I know I will use it in the future. I often find myself needing a way to cool a controller box. Having this built into the controller is great. Also having the ability to see the temperature and voltage from the web page was also useful. Great controller Holiday Coro, Keep up the good work!
