First of all, the controller worked out-of-the-box, including assigning my unique IP address. No futzing whatsoever with any thing to get this controller up and running.
The controller's on-board LED display makes it a lot easier to test than the SanDevices E6804 that I also have. With just a push of the "+" button on the board, I can easily cycle quickly through each of 24 tests.
Also, I use only unicast, and that's all this controller uses (i.e., it does not support multicast). I can also easily set the intensity of pixels attached to each output port, using the controller's web interface. I set mine at 85% because humans can't distinguish the difference between that brightness and 100%, but the 200th pixel on my 200-pixels mini trees are as bright as the first pixel at full white, without any power injection. And the 200-pixel tree operates on just one port, with ease, and with sufficient power through the output port to the 200th pixel.
