5 of 5 Excellent way to learn February 16, 2017
Reviewer: John Kroeker from Point Roberts, WA United States
I'm new to smart RGB and pixels so I was looking for a way to understand how everything works.  I contemplated buying separate components, but when I saw this package, it seemed to have everything I wanted.  I was right!  The controller is easy to use and the selection of RGB lights gives me a better idea of how I might make use of them in a full system.  I had to upgrade the controller firmware in order to get into the device, but the instructions on the HolidayCoro site made this easy.    I'm having fun learning.

5 of 5 Just a great package for beginners like me February 23, 2016
Reviewer: Ed Kaempf from Granite Bay, CA United States
The Starter Pack was one of my best ("Smartest"?) purchases I've made as an RGB newbie.   For a relatively small cost, I got a hands-on understanding of:  how E1.31 controllers work;  different types of RGB lights;  wiring strings of RGB lights;  and configuring the controller.  One benefit for me is a better understanding of C9s.  I determined that the C9s are perfect for my eaves and roof lines.  I took one apart (just as David shows in a video), and these C9s are rock solid and appear completely waterproof.
The AlphaPix 4’s on-board LED and buttons make it very easy to launch, configure, and use.  The first thing I did was assign the controller a unique IP address, which I then used to configure the controller via a Web browser.  Just a great learning experience:  after watching David’s videos, I played around with the controller’s configuration settings to meet my specific needs.  The AlphaPix 4 has worked flawlessly since I first powered it up.

5 of 5 Great for testing and learning February 27, 2015
Reviewer: John Pucci from Sacramento, CA United States
I got this pack to learn about smart pixels and how to use them in a display.  Really great starting tool.  Not only easy to set up and test (I used x-lights), but also gave me experience with Vixen.  And the controller and power supply are more than sufficient to be used in my Halloween and Christmas displays. I really liked the idea behind Vixen but was having a hard time understanding its features.  This test kit aided me immensely in developing Vixen sequences.  Can't wait for my Pre-Season sale items to arrive to set up display features.

5 of 5 Good Start February 21, 2015
Reviewer: John Jones from MELBOURNE, FL United States
This is really a good way to get to know how to use and control RGB lights.  I'm just starting and found the online videos helpful too.  I also like how I can test out the various RGB lights to see which ones I like better.  Now, I realize that I can probably use all these parts/pieces in my display or use as spares.  So, I will get good use out of this kit.

5 of 5 Great Kit for Intro to RGB! January 5, 2015
Reviewer: Michael Lally from Middletown, DE United States
I am a complete Noob to the RGB/controller world. Based upon other reviews on this site, checking out prices at other online retailer, and comments in the diychristmas.com and auschristmaslighting.com forums I decided to test out this starter kit. I am extremely pleased! The kit shipped quickly, worked flawlessly, and the online videos and FAQs were an excellent resource to help me get started! I expect to be ordering more in the future.
